X-FingerThe World Hand Foundation was co-founded by Dan Didrick and Scott Zajaczkowski. Together they developed and released the world’s only functional artificial fingers for finger amputees through a company called Didrick Medical Inc. Although these devices are covered by every major insurance carrier in the US, many amputees in developing nations and within our own country are forced to go without.

The World Hand Foundation was formed to raise money to help rehabilitate the millions of individuals unable to obtain this technology otherwise. Dan and Scott also formed the World Hand Center to work in combination with the World Hand Foundation. The World Hand Center contracts licensed practitioners and surgeons globally to fit patients from around the world desperately in need.

The World Hand Foundation, together with Didrick Medical Inc and the World Hand Center are able to offer medical treatments beginning with initial consultations to the custom fabrication and fitting of the latest prosthetic technologies; all at no cost to the end user.

Although finger loss is not a life threatening illness, the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System estimates that individuals with limited use of their hands earn approximately half of those with full use of their hands. An estimated 94% of all non-fatal amputations involve fingers and we provide rehabilitation services to those that have no other options available.

Dan and Scott, the co-founders donate their time and a percentage of the profits of Didrick Medical Inc to the World Hand Foundation and do not take a salary for their help. The World Hand Foundation does employ board members and spokespersons at a cost of less than 5% of all donations made
